"Major maintenance" took place throughout 2002 to the lake's only operational paddle steamer resulting in her remaining in dock all year PS Piemonte is now awaiting re-plating of at least 75 square metres of the hull, the date for completion of which is still unclear or how this will effect the proposed return to service for the Summer of 2003 No details of any sailings have yet been published, but it is expected the paddle steamer will mainly operate private Charter Sailings as in previous years Special public sailings are expected to include Friday 15th August 2003 the annual Evening Cruise from Arona to Laveno Fireworks (similar to 2001) Watch this space for further information |
