Advance Information - Summer 2004

Due to be re-launched on Thursday 12th February

PS Gallia
is planned to return to service after a two-year major re-build on Saturday 1st May 2004

This will restore the fleet to five operational paddle steamers

In these circumstances, it is expected that in 2004 all five paddle steamers will remain based at Luzern and operate similar rosters to 2001
but augmented by new sailings 9-20 (Luzern depart 1000) which are planned to be operated by the fifth paddle steamer on weekdays during July and August
This sailing is basically the former 1225 Urnersee Express sailing from Luzern to Brunnen starting earlier and extended to Flüelen - reflecting the fact many visitors now arrive at the lake earlier than in previous years

During July/August 2004
the (by then) 102 year old PS Unterwalden is planned
to again operate the Alpnachstad route weekdays and Sundays
(Sunday sailings apply from 23rd May to 26th September 2004)
