S G V    Summer Timetable Advance Information - Summer 2009

PS Unterwalden will be out of service all year undertaking a major re-build In consequence only four paddle steamers will be available for service throughout the Summer season and all Alpnachstad sailings will be by motor vessels The SGV are taking the opportunity to revamp all their sailings with the principle route from Luzern to Flüelen being moved onto a clock-face pattern service     xx.12 from Luzern     xx.00 from Flüelen Many full-length sailings will be speeded up by removal of calls at some of the smaller piers For example............... the traditional 11.25 Wilhelm Tell Express used to take 3h 32m but in 2009 the equivalent 11.12 sailing will only take 2h 43m Below is the anticipated "2009 Peak Summer Service" (Sundays - May to September) (Weekdays - July and August) This is extracted from the SBB "Consultation Doucment" and as such is liable to further change Nevertheless it does give a reasonable idea of what to expect
