LAKE GARDA

N L G Summer Timetable
Advance Information 2005

I am unaware of any major changes expected to take place this Winter to either MPV Italia or MPV G Zanardelli

In these circumstances, it is expected both motor paddle vessels will again remain based at the Southern end of the lake and normally operate short timetabled sailings instead of smaller motor vessels during the season similar to Summer 2004 (ie - starting from Peschiera and Desenzano respectively) on a non-advertised basis

It is also possible one of the two motor paddle vessels could re-appear for the occasional timetabled sailings from Easter onwards (depending on the NLG charter commitments)
and there may again be the occasional non-advertised full-length sailing vice the regular car ferry from Peschiera to Riva (as happened in 2004)

The 2005 Spring Timetable (until 21st May) for all sailings
has now been published and is virtually unaltered from the 2004 situation

The Summer Timetable (from 22nd May) is not
yet available - however from advance "Day Excursion"
leaflets it seems timings for the sailings traditionally
operated by the motor paddle vessels when they are
in public service have been slightly eased
(see below for a copy of the 2004 sailings with altered
timings (where known) shown in BOLD

The following table shows the sailings normally expected to be operated by the two motor paddle vessels
but only on those days they are rostered
to operate in public timetabled service
It is also possible MPV Italia may repeat the occasional full-length sailings 2-(3-4)-5 from Peschiera to Riva as observed on odd dates during Summer 2004

All timings shown are those advertised for 2004
with any known alterations to detailed times
for 2005 shown in BOLD
