Welsh Highland Railway In addition to the local "S4" Sherpa service between Caernarfon and Beddgelert and the "S97" Sherpa service between Beddgelert and Porthmadog the Welsh Highland Railway provides alternative services This can be particularly useful on Sundays and Public Holidays when there are only two "S4" Sherpa journeys each way between Caernarfon and Beddgelert also only two "S97" journeys each way between Beddgelert and Porthmadog  * * *      Please note the Welsh Highland Railway does not run   every day outside the main Summer period nor does every train run on the days the railway is open   The Welsh Highland Railway does not run any regular service during the Winter period except odd dates over the........ Advent period (Father Christmas specials from Caernarfon) Chistmas/New Year (very limited service)     * * * You are strongly advised to first consult the official WHRly website to confirm the train(s) you want to travel on are actually scheduled to run on the date of your proposed visit then use the Sherpa timetables to find the times of the connecting Snowdon Sherpa bus(es)
