IMPORTANT
So far no official information had been made public for the summer timetable (which is expected, to again include the Easter weekend period - as the winter timetable is already shown to terminate on Friday 31st March)

Based on previous years it is reasonable to assume the level of "S1" Sherpa services will again increase..........
..........although whether this will simply be reinstating the services suspended for the winter to give a basic hourly service - as outlined below - remains to be seen

Summer 2022 was the first major re-cast of the Sherpa network for over two decades,  so a further completely revised service so soon is unlikely but it is "hoped" at least some of the silly "near-miss" broken connection along the Conwy Valley at Betws-y-Coed with both the "S1" Sherpa to Snowdon and the "T10" TrawsCymru to Tryfan will be properly addressed or Comwy Council will deserve further criticism that a decent public transport alternative is not available - which resuted in far more cars driving all the way to Snowdonia than was desirable
Minor tweaks to odd journeys at the start of the winter period corrected the most critical times (at least on paper) by retarding the Sherpa departures slightly later to xx05 and the 11xx journey running later than pattern to re-instate the "traditional" connection off the morning train) for travel from the North Wales Coast and beyond --- at this stage the current revised (winter) Conwy Valley train and bus connections are shown as a guide throughout this website

Currently only alternate "S1" journeys operate between Caernarfon and Llanberis and it is likely most if not all of these will again continue through to Betws-y-Coed via Pen-y-Pass with thewinter "S2" Sherpas from Bangor being again extended to Pen-y-Pass - similar to 2022 - for the summer to provide an enhanced service between Llanberis and Pen-y-Pass along the central "core" section of the Llanberis Pass (which also serves the large "Park and Ride" car park at Nant Peris)

The connecting "S4" Sherpa from Pen-y-Pass to Beddgelert which are advertised to continue to Porthmadog as well as connecting into the "S3" Sherpa to Rhyd Ddu and Caernarfon was reduced to just two journeys a day for the winter (less than previous years),  so providing additional summer journeys along the Nant Gwynant Pass which serves the start of the Watkin path (where car parking is totally insufficient for anyone wanting to climb that path) similar to summer 2022 has to be a likely priority - although to what level still remains remains to be seen

National Holiday dates are listed at the top of each table and it is expected a Sunday service will again operate on these days

This page will be updated with the details once the final service are announced - in the interim use the "boxed" notes" regarding the 'winter suspensions' and 'terminates at' as the best available guide as to the "sort of" services to expect

Snowdon Sherpa Bus Timetables

    REMEMBER..........
Due to so many last-minute changes to the various services in the area,  unfortunately many official websites (including the TravelineCymru "Journey Planner") continue to show journeys which have either been "CHANGED" or sometimes even "WITHDRAWN"
Where known,  these are also included below as a warning - to help avoid you being caught out !!!

Please bookmark and revisit nearer the time to check if there have been any further known changes since your last visit to this page

Journeys shown on this website with a "strike through" line are still operating,  BUT it is NO LONGER possible to get a (bus) connection back to the start location of the page - eg
 1234

Throughout Snowdonia there are unfortunately numerous cases of "sub-standard" connections which are NOT recognised by the TravelineCymru "Journey Planner"
(as they are less than 5 minutes) - eg
17.35 17.37
Although this website strongly advises you NOT to 'chance' them..........
..........they are included to draw your attention to the fact that if everything is 'spot on time' and you are "very quick" - it can sometimes get you to your destination considerably earlier

This "unofficial" website attempts to show what is available.....
.....and to encourage greater use of the network
also includes some suggested "trips round Snowdonia - without your car"
