IMPORTANT Update - 18.11.21     Following a revised offer,  it has been announced the Arriva "strike" will be suspended from Friday 19th November,  pending a ballot on Sunday which could possibly change things again next week     Most,  if not all,  of the Arriva connecting journeys shown below against a "light-grey" background are EXPECTED to re-commence     Arriva have announced that due to a dispute with their drivers ALL ARRIVA connecting BUSES IN NORTH WALES ARE SUSPENDED UNTIL 19th DECEMBER *     It is understood that other BUS services in North Wales (including all Winter Sherpa journeys) are running to their normal winter times - confirm direct with the operator/s concerned for their latest information     Passengers from Chester and the North Wales Coast Resorts are advised to travel to Llandudno Junction or Betws-y-Coed or Bangor  by train to join and return from the Sherpa Bus Network or other locally run bus connections     * this MAY be subject to short notice change - watch this space.....     1st November 2021     Gwynfor announced changes to the Sherpa timetables for Winter 2021-2022     Basically the "S2" reverted to a 'one bus' operation similar to last winter,  BUT some journeys run slightly EARLIER than during the summer.  However the "S4" and "S97" services have been re-cast (still making limited connections at Pen-y-Pass),  whilst the "S1" and "S6" services have again been "suspended" for the winter.......... .........see below for the latest known information also updated other pages on this website     In view of the late official information - at one time Operators were legally required to give at least 56 days notice of any change - ANY PAGE ON THIS WEBSITE DATED BEFORE 29th OCTOBER SHOUD BE REGARDED AS "STILL TO BE FULLY UPDATED"     Please bookmark this page NOW to see if any further information has been made public - using the date below as a quick guide to check if this page has been amended since your last visit

REMEMBER..........     Due to so many last-minute changes to the various services in the area,  unfortunately many official websites (including the TravelineCymru "Journey Planner") continue to show journeys which have either been "CHANGED" or sometimes even "WITHDRAWN"     Where known,  these are also included below as a warning - to help avoid you being caught out !!!     Please bookmark and revisit nearer the time to check if there have been any further known changes since your last visit to this page     Journeys shown on this website with a "strike through" line are still operating,  BUT it is NO LONGER possible to get a (bus) connection back to the start location of the page - eg  1234      Throughout Snowdonia there are unfortunately numerous cases of "sub-standard" connections which are NOT recognised by the TravelineCymru "Journey Planner" (as they are less than 5 minutes) - eg 10.05 10.02     Although this website strongly advises you NOT to 'chance' them.......... ..........they are included to draw your attention to the fact that if everything is 'spot on time' and you are "very quick" - it can sometimes get you to your destination considerably earlier This "unofficial" website attempts to show what is available..... and to encourage greater use of the network also includes some suggested "trips round Snowdonia - without your car"

The last all year round weekday connecting "S2-S4" Sherpa service from Llanberis to Beddgelert via Pen-y-Pass and Nant Gwynant now departs at 14.30 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is also a later partially non-Sherpa all year round "88-S4" connection via Caernarfon at 1535 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ DURING THE SUMMER ONLY - there is also a later summer "S2-S4" connection from Llanberis at 1750.......... ..........which this year is EXTENDED to Caernarfon via Rhyd Ddu - also serving the Snowdon Ranger YHA
