SUMMARY OF SNOWDON SHERPA NETWORK - WINTER 2024-2025 UPDATE..... Monday 2nd September 2024     There are detailed changes to the Llew Junes "19" Conwy Valley connecting journey NOTE SPECIALLY the last direct weekday journey of the day from Betws-y-Coed to Llandudno has been ADVANCED to 1505 -- DESPITE STILL APPEARING AS 15 MINUTES LATER ON SEVERAL "OFFICIAL" WEBSITES     Reductions in the level of service for the Winter Sherpa services have been announced..........     The level of "S1" Sherpa journeys via Pen-y-Pass and Llanberis" remains basically hourly - with the first and pen-ultimate journeys suspended for the winter     "S2" Sherpa journeys from Bangor to Pen-y-Pass via Llanberis are again cut back to only operate as far Llanberis (where passengers can change into the "S1" Sherpa) Click here for further detrails     The level of "S3" Sherpa journeys along the western side of Snowdon is slightly reduced with the last 1902 summer return journey from Beddgelert suspended for the winter     The level of "S4" Sherpa journeys along the Nant Gwynant pass has again been reduced to just two journeys each way during the winter periodare again..... .....but the service remains two-hourly between Beddgelert and Porthmadog note - the extensions to Morfa Bychan will only operate on weekdays during the winter     All the additional "S5" "Park and Ride" journeys are again SUSPENDED for the winter - use the hourly "S1" journeys instead     The additional "T10" "TrawsCymru" journeys are again SUSPENDED for the winter - basically every 2 hours on weekdays and every 4 hours on Sundays     So far,   no further changes *after September 2024) have been anounced for the Conwy Valley "19" connections,  but watch this space for possible changes     This website will be further updated if and when anything further is advised to the webmaste The pages on this website are now in the process of being updated Any page dated before 4th November should be regarded as "STILL TO BE UPDATED"

REMEMBER..........     Due to so many last-minute changes to the various services in the area,  unfortunately many official websites (including the TravelineCymru "Journey Planner") continue to show journeys which have either been "CHANGED" or sometimes even "WITHDRAWN"     Where known,  these are also included below as a warning - to help avoid you being caught out !!!     Please bookmark and revisit nearer the time to check if there have been any further known changes since your last visit to this page     Journeys shown on this website with a "strike through" line are still operating,  BUT it is NO LONGER possible to get a (bus) connection back to the start location of the page - eg  1234      Throughout Snowdonia there are unfortunately numerous cases of "sub-standard" connections which are NOT recognised by the TravelineCymru "Journey Planner" (as they are less than 5 minutes) - eg 17.55 17.54     Although this website strongly advises you NOT to 'chance' them.......... ..........they are included to draw your attention to the fact that if everything is 'spot on time' and you are "very quick" - it can sometimes get you to your destination considerably earlier This "unofficial" website attempts to show what is available..... and to encourage greater use of the network it also includes some suggested "trips round Snowdonia - without your car"

IMPORTANT --- PLEASE NOTE.............. The last Monday to Saturday "S4-S1" Sherpa journey from Porthmadog to Betws-y-Coed WITH AN ONWARD CONWY VALLEY CONNECTING BUS for Llanrwst-Conwy-Llandudno) now departs at 0830 ALL later "S1" Sherpa journeys continue to run as advertised as far as BETWS-Y-COED ONLY,  BUT there are NO onward BUS connection to Llanrwst - anyone for Llandudno holding a "bus only" ticket can depart Pen-y-Pass at 1630 or 1830 and change at Capel Curig to catch the 1714 or 1914 "T10" bus to Bangor alternatively retutn direct to Caernarfon then via Bangor and the North Wales Coastt Road using the Arrivs "5C-5" bus from Caernarfon       * * *  IGNORE the electronic display at Betws-y-Coed which is STILL (since February 2023 !) showing out of date times INCLUDING NON-EXISTENT       LATER NORTHBOUND "19" WEEKDAY JOURNEYS !!!!!
