PS Savoie operated winter timetabled sailings - something normally restricted to the motor paddle vessels
This was her first timetabled sailing for several years outside the Little Lake (her only other "escape" that year was a special sailing for the Naval Parade)
She sailed from Lausanne to both Evian-les-Bains (in France) and Château-de-Chillon (in the Upper Lake) when she operates sailings 1107-1108-1109-1110-930-931 on Sunday 30th October

Owing to a problem with her low-pressure cylinder lubrication system PS Blümlisalp was unable to sail and her daytime sailings 15-16 to Interlaken were covered by mv Beatus
Repairs continued on the Tuesday and mv Beatus again covered the daytime sailings but the larger mv Berner Oberland operated the evening sailings 125-126 to Beatenbucht
The paddle steamer returned returned to service on Wednesday 31st August

MPV G Zanardelli operated an evening Fireworks Cruise from Riva at 2115 on Saturday 27th August

At approximately 1330 on Friday 19th August PS Unterwalden suddenly swung round through 90% (understood to have been caused by a 'rudder electronic-control' problem) damaging her bows as she collided into her sister PS Schiller off-Hermitage --- after some delay, she limped back to Luzern with her 136 passengers then proceeded direct to dock to assess the damage and remained there for several days
Meanwhile mv Gotthard was quickly dispatched from Luzern and the 321 passengers on board PS Schiller were transferred to the motor vessel which completed sailings 21-30 - the paddle steamer then returned light to dock to assess her damage - she was back in service the following day

Lake Como

PS Concordia broke down in the middle of the lake shortly after leaving Varenna whilst operating her afternoon sailing "sp3" on Sunday 14th August due to problems with her high pressure 'stuffing box'
After quick repairs, she was able to prodeed under her own steam direct to Menaggio to cover her much delayed 1550 departure back to Como
In consequence her planned sailings for the following day had to be covered by a motor vessel whilst further attention was given to a small defect in the cylinder/piston rods

PS La Suisse operated an evening Fireworks Cruise from Lausanne at 2015 on Monday 1st August

PS Hohentwiel operated a selection of cruises from Rorschach, Arbon and Romanshorn at 1000, 1415, 1505 and 1900 on Monday 1st August

All five paddle steamers paraded in convoy followed by some of the motor vessels from Luzern at 1945 to Brunnen for the annual fireworks display on Monday 1st August

PS Neuchâtel operated an evening Fireworks Cruise from Neuchâtel at 2000 on Monday 1st August

In additional to the regular afternoon timetabled sailings 15-16 PS Blümlisalp took part in the annual evening naval parade from Thun at 2020 along with most of the lake's motor vessels on Monday 1st August

Following a short period 'out of action' due to problems with her condenser, PS Neuchâtel returned to service and operated three days of special sailings from Yverdon-les-Bains for the "Fêtes Eau-Lac" on Friday 24th June Saturday 25th June and Sunday 26th June

Whilst operating sailing 107 from Zurich to Schmerikon on Tuesday 14th June, PS Stadt Zürich suffered problems with the burners to her boiler and she limped as far as Rapperswil where the sailing was terminated
Following quick repairs she was able to operate return sailing 108 commencing at Rapperswil at 1700
She was observed the following morning approaching Zurich pier to operate the regular sailing to Schmerikon

7th June 2016

On arrival back at Neuchâtel after her regular sailings on Tuesday 7th June a crack was discovered in the covering plate of the condenser and all sailings from Wednesday onwards were replaced by a motor vessel
Although a completely new plate needed to be made for her overhaul during the next winter, it was decided to weld the offending crack to enable her to return to service after a couple of weeks and finish the rest of the 2016 season as planned

PS Simplon operated the 1045 sailing from Lausanne on both the Saturday and the Sunday (returning from Rolle at 1552)

On arrival back at Luzern after working the lunchtime sailings 153-154 the paddle steamer had to be taken out of service and immediatly headed to the dock for repairs leaving her afternoon sailings 65-66 to Alpnachstad to be covered by mv Weggis
She returned to Luzern surprisingly quickly and was able to unusually operate the afternoon sailings 67-68 at 1650 to Stanstad followed by her usual sunset cruise

PS Stadt Rapperswil operated a special Mothers Day Lunch Cruise from Zurich at 1130 on Sunday 8th May........

......but instead of then operating an afternoon sailing to Rapperswil, she limped back to dock for repairs - which turned out to be more serious than initially thought, so after discovering the piston rings of the high pressure cylinder were broken the ZSG subsequently announced the paddle steamer would be taken out of service for the rest of the 2016 season
